A Note of Gratitude

January 2020

Dear reader,

I am writing to you with deep gratitude and joy as I reflect on all that has emerged through EquusLibere over the past 6 months. With the help of so many incredible equine and human partners, we have served 100+ individuals from all walks of life - children and families, tourists, educational institutions, community of practice groups, women’s circles, and corporations.

I have been blessed to work with so many curious and open hearted individuals. Each has committed to learning to listen and lead in new ways through asking deeper questions about their unique cares and the personal and collective missions emerging through them.

As we enter into this new year and decade, I have been reflecting on the why of EquusLibere and how it can best be of service in this coming chapter.

The why of EquusLibere is rooted in inquiry into the dis-ease and breakdowns, alongside possibilities, present in all levels of the human systems we share and co-create.

The heart of EquusLibere’s approach is well articulated by Otto Scharmer, pioneer of Theory U and conscious-based systems thinking, as a commitment to “relink the parts and the whole by making the system see and sense itself.”

Through experiential, equine-partnered approaches, we work with individual and group systems in ways that enable new ways of listening to ourselves and the systems we share. We are students of the 55 million years of survival, resilience, and thriving embodied in our equine partners and form a bridge that enables their wisdom to serve the complex opportunities and challenges we encounter across the domains of our lives.

Thank you for you, as clients, mentors, partners, and friends in this work, have played an important part in bringing forth this initiative.

Special thanks to Theory U and Institute for Generative Leadership faculties and communities, and old and new mentors and friends.

Here’s to a coming year in which we all continue to deepen further into what we care about.

With gratitude,

Bridgit
